🚨BREAKING: As quarterback Dak Prescott enters his 11th season as the Dallas Cowboys’ starter, NFL insider Dan Graziano warns that regular-season success no longer moves the needle for the franchise icon. Despite boasting an explosive passing attack bolstered by George Pickens alongside CeeDee Lamb, Prescott faces intense scrutiny over a glaring 2-5 postseason record—leaving fans wondering if he will ever deliver the playoff success expected in Dallas.👇

Dak Prescott doesn’t have any problems putting up numbers.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott's problem is obvious, but the solution eludes Dallas image

Now with George Pickens having joined CeeDee Lamb, the Dallas Cowboys’ passing attack is as potent as ever. Prescott has a problem, though, and it has nothing to do with stats.

It has to do with his postseason record.

For all the winning and passing Prescott has done in his NFL career, he has just two playoff wins to show for it.

Until that changes, he’ll always have a bit of an empty legacy for Dallas.

“This will be Prescott’s 11th season as the Cowboys’ starter,” ESPN’s Dan Graziano wrote as part of a new article on Tuesday. “In that time, he has a record of 83-55-1 in the regular season but is just 2-5 in the playoffs. Last season marked the eighth time Prescott played at least 12 games but the first of those eight in which Dallas had a losing record. It’s easy for fans to wonder whether he’ll ever attain the postseason success they expect, especially if the Cowboys again struggle to even contend for the postseason.”

Dallas did approach this offseason in the right way. They improved their defense, and that was the side of the ball where they were clearly lacking.

“If we assume the defense is improved and that Prescott stays healthy, the Cowboys should be in good position to return to the playoffs,” Graziano writes.

The reality for a guy like Prescott, kind of similar to Lamar Jackson, is that regular season success doesn’t tell us anything new about him.

His story can only be added to in the playoffs.

“It might not be totally fair to posit a question that can’t be answered until January at the earliest, but Prescott is one of the most established, entrenched starters in the league,” Graziano writes. “There aren’t many more questions for him to answer. Except the big one.”

To answer the postseason question, the Cowboys first have to get there. Prescott will do his part, and he’ll need his full team to follow.
