Taylor Swift’s Life of a Showgirl: Encore album has quickly drummed up headlines with star-studded cameos, a surprise wedding dress appearance, and a glimpse into her marriage with Travis Kelce.
Swift’s track “Cleveland!” is easily her most personal out of the four, taking Swifties along on the star’s visit to her husband’s hometown—and the Kansas City Chiefs star had the most wholesome reaction while speaking out about the song for the first time.

Travis broke his silence on the track while chatting with his brother Jason during a September 30 episode of their “New Heights” podcast. The NFL star was clearly touched by Swift’s tribute to the city where he grew up, telling listeners, “Cleveland is rocking right now. Shout out to Tay Tay for making that song, just giving the city a little more life.”

Jason chimed in, revealing that the song is on repeat in his and wife Kylie Kelce’s household. “Dude, that song is incredible,” the former Philadelphia Eagles player raved as he praised his new sister-in-law. “Kylie and I have been listening to it so much. There’s just something about it that makes you feel real good. It’s a great song.”

In the song, Swift hits back at constant criticism while touting her husband’s fierce support through it all. Comparing herself to an “acquired” taste that happens to be Travis’s “favorite dish,” the Grammy Award-winning star referenced her visits to Kelce’s hometown as she sings, “He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life, hey, hey, hey.” She also coyly mentions her wedding day with her lyrics, “Now I’m wearing white.”
Kelce—who recently bought a $5.3 million lakefront home in nearby Bratenahl, Ohio—was shown in never-before-seen video footage of the pair in a lyric video for “Cleveland!” released on September 25.
In the clip, the “Patient Zero” singer turned the camera on Kelce and then herself as they stopped at Kelce’s high school and drove down a lush tree-lined street, perhaps a nod to “that house with a porch … where he lived as a kid.”
