2026 has been a rough year for aircraft worldwide. Last month, an entire Pickleball team crashed in a plane crash in Texas Hill Country. The small aircraft was carrying five people, all of whom perished after it went down into the trees.
Prior to that, a US businessman and his wife died in a plane crash while returning home from the NCAA Final Four. In March, an Air Canada Express plane from Montreal smashed into a rescue truck at New York’s LaGuardia Airport and killed two pilots.
Now the latest aircraft incident has claimed the lives of multiple people.
Gulfstream G200 Jet Captured Going Down in Flames

A private jet attempting an emergency landing crashed at an airport in the Dominican Republic. The incident killed both crew members on board in a tragic accident. The aircraft went down while trying to land at La Romana International Airport. Authorities confirmed that the pilot and the co-pilot died in the crash.
It was reported that no other passengers or crew members were on board at the time of the crash. A video posted on social media showed the jet engulfed in flames after a rough landing at the airport.
Another clip showed a huge plume of smoke at the airport, while trucks sprayed water to try to control a fire.
Dominican civil aviation authorities have opened a formal investigation into what went wrong with the Gulfstream G200 jet, per Yahoo. In a statement posted on X, the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation said both IDAC and the Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Commission have activated protocols. They will conduct the necessary investigations to determine the cause. Further updates are expected as the probe progresses.
