Mike Vrabel has turned into one of the most controversial head coaches in the NFL.  His years-long affair with Dianna Russini has not only surfaced, but started to be the only thing fans talk about when his name comes up.  Now, every time fans see him he will be under a microscope.

That is exactly what happened today at practice.

Concerning Video Of Mike Vrabel At Practice Goes Viral

A video leaked of Vrabel talking to his offensive lineman at practice on Wednesday morning.  Of course, fans started dissecting the video as soon as it hit Twitter/X.  Here is what happened:

Mike Sullivan posted the following caption online:

In the video numerous offensive linemen seem to be looking away from Vrabel as he appears to be speaking to the group.  These are some fan reactions:

• Is this what losing the locker room looks like? Let’s Work
• Training camp hasn’t started yet. I’m not expecting him too, but you wouldn’t see the signs this early
• Let’s just hope none of them bring the wife near the facility
• i’m sorry people actually think the players care whether or not he cheated on his wife? All the outrage is just moral pandering or people wanting to pats to be punished.
• Honestly shocked he’s not fing the reporter videotaping him
• Nice congrats on cheering for a scumbag that ruined his family

It was a photograph of Vrabel and Russini holding hands at a resort in Arizona released on April 7 that brought their personal lives into the public eye.

A few days later, other photographs emerged showing Vrabel and Russini kissing in a Manhattan pub in 2020, both of whom are married to other individuals.

Russini resigned from her position as a journalist at The Athletic as a result of the backlash generated by the images. Russini’s actions prompted The Athletic company to launch an investigation. Specifically the investigation was to see if there really were “six other people with them” like Russini had claimed.

Due to the incident, Vrabel missed the final day of last month’s draft as he started counseling (he is currently still in counseling as a result of the incident).  Vrabel’s future with the New England Patriots will be interesting to observe.  It is certain that he will encounter trash talk from rival fans every time he enters an opposing stadium this season.
