🚨BREAKING: New England Patriots star quarterback Drake Maye handled one of the most bizarre press conference moments of the offseason with a mixture of confusion and composure on Wednesday. Heading into his third NFL season with massive expectations, Maye was caught completely off guard when a reporter literally asked if he was “thicker this season with two c’s.” After asking the reporter to repeat the awkward question, Maye quickly deflected the modern lingo with a laugh before delivering a professional answer about the importance of maintaining muscle mass for the grueling NFL season.👇

Drake Maye figured he must’ve heard the question wrong.

There was no way this was what the New England Patriots’ star QB had been asked in a press conference on Wednesday, was there?

“Are you thicker this season with two c’s?” — as in, the modern lingo, thiccer.

Maye replied, “Say that one more time.”

Patriots rivals should fear what Drake Maye is becoming

So yes, the reporter repeated the question.

“That’s ‘pause’ if that’s anything,” Maye replied.

He then tried to give a decent answer anyway, which was kind of Maye.

“That’s not the way to put it,” Maye said before a brief exchange with the reporter. “… It’s how the NFL works, a long season, and you tend to lose some muscle, so you try to maintain that.”

It makes sense that Maye, heading into his third season, would want to continue getting stronger. He led the Patriots to the Super Bowl before a loss, and any growth in his game, and his physique, can only help.

The Pats’ expectations will be much higher in 2026, and it’ll be up to Maye to try to live up to them.

The only letter Maye will be concerning himself with: W.

🚨BREAKING: With NFL roster cuts looming, the New England Patriots are being heavily linked to Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson as a potential cap casualty. Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay labels the veteran pass-catcher as “likely” expendable for a Rams team needing financial flexibility after landing Myles Garrett. Despite Hunter Henry and rookie Eli Raridon on the roster, Parkinson would provide crucial, proven depth for New England—especially following a season-ending injury to free-agent signing Julian Hill.👇
