For veterans, every OTA practice is another step toward chasing a title. For rookies, it’s a chance to prove they belong.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why eyebrows were raised this week when a young defensive rookie reportedly arrived late to an OTA session, forcing coaches and teammates to take notice before practice had even fully begun.<\/p>\n

One of the loudest reactions came from Ravens star Kyle Hamilton, who has quickly become one of the defense’s most respected voices despite still being early in his NFL career.<\/p>\n

After practice, Hamilton reportedly addressed the situation with a message that left little room for interpretation.<\/p>\n

“In Baltimore, it doesn\u2019t matter what round you were drafted in,” Hamilton said. “Show up early, shut up, and go to work. That\u2019s how you earn your helmet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The player at the center of the discussion was rookie defensive end Rayshaun Benny, the Ravens’ seventh-round draft pick. While coaches remain excited about his long-term potential, sources say his late arrival immediately became a talking point among veterans who view professionalism as non-negotiable.<\/p>\n

Benny enters Baltimore with an underdog story that many fans admire. The rookie defensive end built a reputation as a tough, physical lineman in college and earned his opportunity through consistency, effort, and football intelligence.<\/p>\n

However, arriving late during one of the most important periods of the offseason reportedly frustrated several leaders inside the building.<\/p>\n
